Great question! The age of your child will determine which organization the referral needs to go to. If your child is 0-3 years of age, the referral will need to go to Babynet. If your child is 3-6 years of age, the referral will need to go to OIDD. You can complete either referral yourself! We have provided the links, step-by-step, and any additional information you may want to know on our site.

Babynet and OIDD are state agencies who determine if your child has a delay and can receive services. Once they have determined if your child qualified for services you can then pick Building Dreams to implement these services.

Unfortunately, no. You must submit a referral so Babynet or OIDD can determine if your child is eligible for services. Once your child is eligible, you can pick Building Dreams to implement these services.

One word... ZERO! What an amazing program, right!? Early Intervention programs are funded by Babynet and OIDD.

Early Intervention is made up of two parts, Family Training and Service Coordination.  Your Early Interventionist (EI) will meet with your child on a agreed upon amount of time to facilitate the Family Training piece.  At most, an Early Interventionist can meet with your child four times a month for an hour.  Family Training will be provided in a child's natural environment, either at home or in a daycare setting.  Family Training stands for a team approach. So, that means all hands on deck! We will involve parents and teachers to make sure your child has a high success to succeed! ​The second part of Early Intervention is Service Coordination. Service Coordination will allow your Interventionist to be involved with helping get any and all additional supports that maybe necessary.  This can include speaking with providers, creating resources, research, and referrals.  Interventionist's are dedicated to supporting all areas of your family's needs and child's development.
